The Welbeck Hotel is ideally situated halfway along but behind Douglas Promenade, being set back 100 yards up the hill. This means it avoids much of the noise and traffic but is still only a short distance from the shopping and business centres, Nobles Park, The Gaiety Theatre, Palace Cinema, Villa Marina, Casino and many other entertainment venues and restaurants.

The Sea Terminal is approximately 1 mile away and the Airport is roughly 10 miles away.

Directions

From the Sea Terminal:

Straight ahead at the 1st roundabout then left on to the promenade at the second.

Pass Gaiety Theatre and then turn left at the traffic lights at the Villa Marina gardens on to Broadway.

Turn right at the next traffic lights on to Victoria Road. Follow the road for about ¼ mile. You will see a crescent of houses on the left with a green in front. Turn right down the steep hill marked ‘Max 3 tonnes’ and ‘one way.’ The Welbeck Hotel is the cream and green building on the right hand side.

Street parking is available on the hill down to the Hotel.

From the Airport:

Follow signs for Douglas for approximately 9 miles. Go straight across the roundabout on the outskirts of Douglas. Go straight ahead at the traffic lights staying in the left hand lane. Following signs for Onchan and ‘The North’ turn right, then left at the Quarterbridge double roundabout.

Go straight ahead at the next lights then get into the right lane at the traffic lights next to the school to turn right into Ballaquayle Road. Go down the hill to the next set of lights, then turn left on to Victoria Road.
